I have really bad teeth. Is there hope for me?

There are many things it’s never too late to do later in life. At the top of that list is fixing your smile, even if you have missing teeth and it’s been a while since you’ve seen the dentist.

What are my options?

If you have missing teeth, or you damage to your teeth’s surrounding tissue, you can get partial or complete dentures to dramatically improve your smile. These small appliances are custom-made to fit over your gums and can be worn all day. At our office, it will take several appointments over a span of a few weeks to take molds and measurement for your dentures, but it’s well worth it – the end result will improve your smile and increase your articulation and ability to eat.

Another option, a fixed bridge, is helpful if you have gaps between two otherwise normal teeth. The process can take two or more visits, and the resulting appliance will improve your smile and not need to be removed at night like a partial or full denture.

What about implants?

A more permanent option for missing teeth is a dental implant. This is also the best option if you have one or two missing teeth in isolated locations throughout your mouth, since implants don’t affect their surrounding teeth. This is one of the most durable and stable options for replacing a missing tooth as the process involves an implant integrating into your jaw bone over a number of months before the artificial tooth is attached.
